Survivors include three daughters, Stella Gary of Crowley, Leatrice M. Beard of Grosse Tete and Sondra and husband, Kenneth Beard Sr., of Brusly; two sons, Wallace and wife Lee Ann Monceaux of Anchorage, Alaska and Russell and wife, Hazel Monceaux, of Praireville; 12 grandchildren, Theodore Meche, Randle Beard, Andrea Fuentes, Michelle Beard, Adena Smiley, Kenneth Beard Jr., Hubert Louis Beard, Melissa Spalding, Patrick Beard, Rhonda Beard, Amanda Abbot and Abram Monceaux; two step-granddaughters, Mona Gary and Lisa Gary; 33 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
Ms. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Monceaux; her parents, Collice and Adena Legnion; a stepfather, Thomas Perry Sr.; four grandchildren, Elie Benoit Jr., Richard Dale Primeaux, Wallace Wayne Monceaux and Stephanie Roucher; one sister, Lydia Myers; and three brothers, Noah Legnion, Thomas Perry Jr. and C. J. Perry.
Ms. Louise fought a good fight; I have finished my course; I have kept the faith. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and a friend to all. The family would like special thanks to go out to Heart Hospital of Lafayette and its entire caring staff.
Visitation will be Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. then 8 a.m. on Friday until time of services A Rosary will be recited at 6 in the evening of Thursday in the funeral home chapel in Crowley.
