NEW ORLEANS - Allison Renée Dupuis of Crowley and Julien Charles Edouard Prévost of Houma have announced their engagement to be wed on Saturday, April 6, at the Bourbon Orleans Hotel Ballroom in New Orleans. The Honorable Judge John Trahan will officiate the 7 p.m. nuptial ceremony.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sally Wilson Dupuis of Crowley and the late Larry Charles Dupuis. Her maternal grandparents are the late Mrs. Suzanna and Dr. Ned DeWitt Wilson, and her paternal grandparents are the late Mrs. Claire and Mr. Edwin Dupuis, all of Crowley.

Allison is a graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and Louisiana State University, where she was a member of Zeta Alpha Tau sorority. She attended medical school at The American University of the Caribbean and will begin her pediatric residency in July.

The prospective groom is the son of M. Dominique Prévost and Mme. Ingrid Bakker, both of Nancy, France. He is the grandson of the late M. and Mme. Raymond Prévost of Paris, France, and the late Herr und Frau Wilhelm Prüssner of Köln, Germany.

Julien graduated from Lycée Henri Poincaré and Université Nancy 2 before pursuing his post-graduate education at the University of Cumbria in England. He was a cellist with the Docklands Sinfonia Orchestra in London, England, for three years and also taught French at St. Martin’s School in Brentwood, England, for three years before moving to the United States. Julien is presently employed as a French teacher at Galliano Elementary, where he has been for one year.
