JENNINGS - The family and friends of Shirley Anne Crader are mourning the loss of their loved one who was called to her heavenly father Feb. 27, at the age of 76. Funeral services will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings to honor her life on Friday, March 1, at 11 a.m. She will be laid to rest in Andrus Cove Cemetery with Deacon Tom Sommers officiating.

Shirley Anne was a life-long resident of Mermentau and was born to the late Ellis Crader and the late Lea Bonin Crader on Feb. 12, 1937. She worked as a welder until her health began to fail. She enjoyed watching television.

Shirley is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Geraldine and Courtney Dupuis of Estherwood; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A gathering of Shirley’s family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 2:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. Visiting hours will resume on Friday at 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral service.
