CROWLEY – Olivia Boullion carried the load for the CHS Ladies, both on the mound and at the plate Wednesday afternoon.

Boullion, a senior, limited the Lady Tarpons to one run on just five hits while striking out nine.

At the plate, she hit a solo home run and drove in another with a sacrifice fly.

Her efforts lifted the Ladies to a 2-1 victory over South Cameron for their sixth win in seven games.

Boullion got the Ladies on the board in the first inning when she drove a 2-2 pitch over the left field wall.

She followed that in the second inning when she stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and delivered a sacrifice fly to drive in Bailee Villejoin. Villejoin had walked to start the frame.

South Cameron scored its only run in the fifth inning courtesy of a Crowley error in the outfield.

Heather Trahan, Megan Guidry and Maddie LeBouef each had one hit for the Ladies.

The Ladies will travel to Carencro this evening to take on Springfield at 7 p.m. in the first round of the Lafayette High Tournament at Pelican Park.
