Lady Wolves fall in playoff opener at North DeSoto
Any hopes the Lady Wolves had of pulling off a major upset in the Class 4A softball playoffs were put to rest early Friday afternoon in Rayne’s matchup with No. 1 seed North DeSoto.

The Rayne High Wolves bounced back last week with a sweep of a double-header against Washington-Marion claiming 14-3 and 11-1 wins over the Indians.
The Rayne High Lady Wolves Basketball Team completed the 2016-2017 season with another trip to the state playoffs before falling in the second round.
The Wolves took a lead late in the ballgame and held on for a 7-2 districy win over Leesville High.
The win evened Rayne’s district slate at 2-all mid-way through the 2017 season.
