Community Foundation of Acadiana’s (CFA) second-annual Leaders in Philanthropy Awards Luncheon will be held on November 1, 2012 at the Cajundome Convention Center from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m. CFA will present Leader in Philanthropy Awards to individuals or groups from each of its 8 parish service-areas who have made an impact in their communities. This signature event will also feature keynote speaker Todd Graves, founder and CEO of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, one of the country’s fastest growing privately-owned companies. In 16 years, Raising Cane’s has grown to include more than 130 restaurants in 16 states. Graves carries his tremendous success in business over to a wide array of philanthropic endeavors. As an active community partner, Graves and Raising Cane’s have given more than 25 percent of their profits back to the communities where Raising Cane’s restaurants operate. He will speak to CFA’s guests and honorees about how to sustain a successful entrepreneurial business with a strong philanthropic mission and endeavors. Nominations for the awards will be accepted from CFA’s fund owners, “Friends of the Community” members, Board of Directors and Committee Members.
