Francis Pavy, who studied art under the direction of Elmore Morgan Jr., is considered a visual narrator of South Louisiana’s vibrant culture renowned for his colorful, abstract approach to Southern iconography and storytelling presents a new retrospective, Currents and Flows - 35 Years of Art. The show, coupled with the Turtle Island Quartet performance will be featured at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in their main gallery, March 12th through May 7th, 2011. Currents and Flows tracks the evolution of Pavy’s art, featuring pieces never before displayed as well as commissioned pieces and new work.

At the annual meeting of the Cattleman’s Association and the Acadia Parish Farm Bureau Tuesday night, the Farm Bureau made their annual donation to the Cattleman’s Association to support the agricultural industry in Acadia Parish.
