Over 20 bikes were decorated and entered to be judged at Ross Head Start’s St. Jude Trike-a-thon. Judging the trikes were, from left, Georgette Miller of Home Bank, Tiffany Miller of Lafayette Schools Credit Union and Rosaline Landry of the head start central office, health and nutrition department. First, second and third place awards will be given Thursday morning at the school during the event.

The Crowley Veterinary Hospital, located along Highway 13, had a bit of excitement Monday afternoon as a Cadillac Escalade crashed into the corner of its building. The Escalade received the brunt of the damage as it was totaled. The hospital fared well.
