This year is no different as KLFY-TV 10 and Food Net have once again partnered up help Acadiana residents “reach out to their neighbors” simply by donating food.
As was the case in years past, Crowley Christian Care Center (CCCC), located at 726 West Seventh St. in Crowley, will be the local drop off point and also will benefit greatly from any generosity local residents can spare.
This year’s “Food For Families” food drive will take place Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
All non-perishable items will be accepted, but the Crowley area especially needs the following: rice, flour, sugar, pasta, cornbread mix, ramen noodles, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, canned meat and boxed dinners (i.e. Hamburger Helper).
Each year Crowley has answered the call to help CCCC help those in need, and it hopes that generosity will return again this year. That generosity has not gone unnoticed.
The center averages 450 bags of groceries per month to its clients. All donations to the CCCC remain in Crowley and are given to qualified applicants, which include several age groups.
If you would like to help but will not be able to participate in the “Food For Families” drive, the CCCC accepts donations year round.
