Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 11:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M., with a rosary being recited at 6:30 P.M. in Duhon Funeral Home, Rayne. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until service time in the funeral home.
Tony passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2012 in his Carlyss residence.
Born in Lafayette, Tony spent most of his early years in Scott. He lived in Holly Beach for many years before being forced to relocate by Hurricane Rita. His last years were spent in Hackberry and, more recently, in Carlyss.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashely Preuett and husband, Kasey of Atlanta, LA; sister, Angela Richard of Rayne; brothers, Bryan Romero of Scott, and Ricky Romero and wife, Susan of Carlyss; grandchild, Nathan Preuett of Atlanta, LA; and another grandchild on the way. Tony is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Preceding Tony in death were his parents, Elcee J. Romero and Anais Cormier Romero.
Serving as pallbearers are Lance Romero, Zachery Richard, Travis Romero, Casey Romero, Dustin Romero, and Daniel Mayard.
