Funeral services will be held Friday, February 18, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, for Carroll John Braquet, 73, who died Monday, February 14, 2011, at his residence in Rayne.

Survivors include three daughters, Lisa Stanton of Mandeville, Blythe Steele of Cincinnati Ohio, and Susan Braquet of San Jose California; two sons, Stephen Braquet of Destrehan, and Paul Braquet  of Estherwood; one sister, Shirley Kay of Youngsville; two brothers, Eugene Braquet of Vinton, and Gerald Braquet of Friendswood, Texas.

Carroll was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Amy Leger Braquet; and one brother, Robert “Bobby” Braquet.

In lieu of flowers the family request donation to be made to Heart of Hospice at  201 N. Vermilion St. Suite 100 Lafayette, La. 70501.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until services.

Burial will be held in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Duhon Funeral Home of Rayne.
