Authorities in Acadia Parish are asking for the public assistance in locating Martin Lee Laday, Jr., age 47 of Meche Street, Church Point who is wanted for the aggravated burglary of a residence in the Mire area.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon his department investigated three burglaries that were reported at this residence on December 28th, 29th and 31st of 2012. Through the investigation, Investigators learned that the home owner was present when he entered the residence on December 31st and a struggled ensued with Laday being detained by the homeowner.

Upon deputy arrival Laday was transported to American Legion Hospital by Acadian Ambulance where he hospitalized with injuries to his head.

A warrant has been issued for Laday’s arrest and authorities are asking anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 788-8700.
