DUSON - Funeral services were held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2 p.m. for Adam Joseph Guilbeau, 60, who died Saturday, October 9, 2010 at his residence in Duson.

Interment was in the Abshire Cemetery.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Vicki Prejean Guilbeau of Duson; two sons, Chad Prejean and wife Debbie of Rayne and Kenneth Prejean of Prairieville; three daughters, Danielle Prejean Cox of Texas, Amy Magnon of Duson, and Natasha Magnon and fiance Tommy Thibodeaux of Duson; three sisters, Deanna Magnon and husband Randy of Iota, Coleen Rogers of Kaplan, Helen Guilbeau of New Orleans and Sue Dubois and husband Darrell of Rayne; a brother, John Guilbeau of Texas; an aunt and uncle, Sylvia and Frank Guilbeau of Slidell; fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Nevaeh Thibodeaux; his parents, Norris “Pop” Benoit and Ruby Freeman Benoit; and one brother, Ronald Benoit.

He was born Saturday, October 29, 1949 in New Orleans son of the late Norris Benoit and the late Ruby Freeman Benoit.

A rosary was recited Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 7 p.m. in Gossen Funeral Home.

Friends were received at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. and Monday, October 11, 2010 from 8 a.m. until service.
