The bride is the daughter of Gayla and Allen LeBlanc of Lyons Point. Her maternal grandparents are Velta Simon of Lyons Point and the late Frank Simon, and her paternal grandparents are Patricia and Luellyn LeBlanc.
Naomi is currently employed by the Lafayette Bone and Joint Clinic.
The groom is the son of Angie and Christopher Reese of Gueydan. He is the grandson of George and Brenda Pousson of Iota, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Reese of Gueydan.
Christopher is a 2009 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and a 2011 graduate of Louisiana Technical College - Gulf Area Campus. He is currently employed as a welder by Daley Tower Service in Carencro.
Guests were ushered to their seats by Kevin Simon, godfather of the bride, and George Pousson Jr., godfather of the groom.
Musical selections for the service were performed by Kimberly Guidry and Judy Landry.
Escorted by her father Allen, Naomi was beautiful in an all-over Alencon lace gown with a Queen Anne neckline. The elegant fitted dress featured a keyhole back that completed its overall romantic look. For her headpiece, Naomi selected a pearl clip for her upswept hair.
The bride carried a large handheld bouquet of vibrant yellow roses interspersed with white flowers and greenery.
To ensure good luck in her marriage, Naomi incorporated all of the traditional items into her attire. A handkerchief that belonged to her grandfather was “something old;” her dress was “something new;” a ring lent to her by her godmother was “something borrowed;” and her garter was “something blue.”
Naomi’s sister, Colleen Rimmer, served as matron of honor. Serving as bridesmaids were Lauren LeBlanc, sister-in-law of the bride, and cousins-of-the-bride Hannah Domingue, Natalie LeBlanc, Holly Domingue, Laci Simon and Hayley Simon.
The bridal attendants wore knee-length dresses in cocoa-colored silk and carried bouquets of yellow roses.
Anslie Rimmer, godchild of the bride, served as flower girl.
Kyle Guidry, brother-in-law of the groom, acted as best man. Dale LeBlanc, brother of the bride; Scott Reese and Dominic Touchet, cousins of the groom; Adam Zaunbrecher, friend of the groom; Jason Rimmer, brother-in-law of the bride; and Kevin Simon Jr., cousin of the bride, stood as groomsmen.
Nathan Rimmer, nephew of the bride, served as ring bearer.
For her daughter’s wedding day, Naomi’s mother, the former Gayla Simon, selected a feminine two-piece suit with a knee-length skirt. The blue jay fabric featured a slight shimmer, and the jacket’s hem was finished with scalloped lace detail.
Christopher’s mother, the former Angie Pousson, wore an MK Collection spaghetti strap dress with a scalloped-hem lace bodice and taffeta skirt. The waist was defined with a bow-trimmed taffeta ribbon and rhinestone brooch detail. A three-quarter sleeve lace bolero jacket completed the ensemble.
Selected Scriptures were read by Rhonda Broussard, godmother of the bride, and Christina Guidry, sister of the groom.
Garrett LeBlanc and Ross Myers, both cousins of the bride, presented offertory gifts.
Following the ceremony, a reception for the newlywed couple was held at the Gueydan Civic Center.
The bride’s three-tiered white cake was decorated with lace buttercream icing and adorned with yellow roses.
The groom’s cake was a 15-inch oval LSU tiger’s eye.
Out-of-town guests traveled from Texas and various points throughout Louisiana.
The groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner prior to the wedding on September 27 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Gueydan. Guests enjoyed jambalaya, green beans, salad, rolls and bread pudding.
Following a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., Naomi and Christopher will reside in Rayne.
