Allegedly drunk teen driver's car plows into another; two seriously injured

A car driven by an allegedly drunk teenager plowed into another at a Eunice intersection Monday night, flipping the vehicle and leaving two persons with serious injuries.

According to records the teen driver ran a stop sign at Vine and C.C. Duson about 8 p.m.

Several persons were taken the Acadian Medical Center trauma center. All but two, whose names were not yet available Tuesday morning, were released.

Booked into the City Jail at 4:41 a.m., after returning from the ER, was Sky Taylor Dauzat, 18, 1717 Holly, Pine Prairie.

Dauzat is charged with two counts of first degree vehicular negligent injuring, DWI underage, ran stop sign, purchase & possession of alcohol by person under 21.

Also charged early today were two occupants of her vehicle:

Christopher Dylan Fontenot, 19, 1100 Pine Hill Road, Ville Platte, purchase & possession of alcohol by person under 21;

James Garret Nicks, 19, 118 Amie Lane, Ville Platte, purchase & possession of alcohol by person under 21.

Witnesses allegedly saw one of them tossing beer from a ice chest in the vehicle following the accident.

There was no indication on records available Tuesday morning regarding where the teenagers may have purchased the alcohol.

These kids will get off so easy it ridiculous. The teen drinking that going on in this city is out of this world...

I hope this teenage drunks all get AT LEAST 5 year sentences. They would also investigate what low life store employee sold them the alcohol and have them arrested and the store stripped of its license. It makes me so sick to see this type of stuff.
