Duson –– Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Monday, March 21, 2011, at 4:00 p.m. for Anna Bell Latiolais, 81, who died Saturday, March 19, 2011.

Interment was in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne.

Surviving are daughter, Mae Thibodeaux and husband, Curney, of Duson; son, Harry Latiolais and wife, Rebecca, of Lafayette; daughter, Betty Dugas and husband, Patrick, of Duson; daughter, Brenda Richard of Scott; daughter, Kathy Doucet and husband, Mike, of Carencro; daughter, Vickie Comeaux and husband, Mark, of Rayne, and Mellisa Lavergne; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Joseph Latiolais; daughter, Anna Marie Latiolais; granddaughter, Myra Sue Broussard; son-in-law, Carl Richard; five sisters, Eula Smith, Lillian Smith, Mable Melancon, Ezar Hanks and Felicia Breaux; and one brother, Cleveland Cahanin.

She was born Friday, October 4, 1929, daughter of the late Gustave Cahanin and the late Emetile LaCombe.

Friends were received 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Sunday, March 20, and 8:00 a.m. until services Monday, March 21, 2011, at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Rose Lofton, Mary Jackson, Juanita Suire, Floyd Mouton, Glenn Bourque, Heart of Hospice, Dr. Curtis, Dr. Lugo, Dr. Concepsion and his nurse Cynthia LaBiche.

Pallbearers were Darren Romero, Troy Lavergne, Bryan Comeaux, Jeffery Broussard, Jacob Broussard and Blaine Trahan.

Honorary pallbearers were Curney Thibodeaux, Harry Latiolais, Mike Doucet, Pat Dugas Mark Comeaux and John Lofton.
