Madison and Sherry Rimmer of Rayne are announcing the engagement and forthcoming wedding of their daughter, Katie Marie, to Scott Christopher Ronkartz, son of Greg and Diana Ronkartz of Mowata.

The couple will be married on Friday, May 27, 2011, during a 6:30 p.m. evening ceremony at St. Leo IV Catholic Church in Roberts Cove, followed by a reception at The Crossing at Mervine Kahn in Rayne.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marguerite Greig of Rayne, the late Leroy Guidry, Sr., and Henry and Virginia Rimmer of Houston, Texas. She is a 2007 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish and plans to attain a degree in biology and chemistry in May of 2011 from Louisiana College.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Christina Hornsby of Roberts Cove, the late Everd Simon Hornsby, and JoAnne and Jerome Ronkartz of Mowata. He is a 2004 graduate of Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish, a graduate of Louisiana Technical College in air conditioning, and is employed by Prevost Electrical Company of Rayne.

Following their wedding, the couple plans to reside in Rayne.
