Jeromie and Shelly Constantin of Rayne are announcing the birth of a daughter, Ava Jeanne, born at 11:55 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette.

At birth, she weighed six pounds seven ounces, and measured 19.5 inches in length.

Mrs. Constantin is the former Shelly Vasseur, daughter of Randal and Gail Vasseur of Rayne, maternal grandparents.

Paternal grandparents are Ferrol and Brenda Constantin of Rayne.

Godparents are Alex Brochard of Lafayette and Traci Vasseur of Scott.

She is also welcomed by her older sister, Kaitlyn.
