The bride is the daughter of Jerry and Libby Beach of Chatham. Her grandparents are Ruth Ann Lowery of Vaiden, Mississippi, and the late William “Bill” Lowery; and the late Paul and Jane Beach of Junction City, Ohio.
Molly is a 1998 graduate of Ovey Comeaux High School in Lafayette and a 2002 graduate of Northwestern State University, where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business. She is currently employed by Takeda Pharmaceuticals, where she has been for the past nine years.
The groom is the son of Harold, Jr. and Martha Gonzales of Crowley. He is the grandson of the late Harold, Sr. and Mildred Gonzales and the late Earl and Viola Lantz, all formerly of Crowley.
Craig graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 1998 and attended Louisiana State University at Eunice. He is currently employed as the field coordinator/sales representative for Bronco Oilfield Services.
The azure sky and sea provided an ideal setting for the couple’s nuptials. As the ceremony began, Pachelbel’s Canon lent an air of tradition to the oceanfront wedding.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, was beautiful in an ivory gown crafted of satin and hand-embroidered Alencon lace. The dress’s fitted bodice featured a lace halter neckline and delicate waistline ruching that gathered at the side. The A-line silhouette flowed into a cathedral-length train. Molly’s headpiece, a single-tier fingertip veil with Alencon lace trim, perfectly complemented the gown.
For flowers, Molly carried a bouquet of yellow roses intermingled with dark greenery.
In keeping with tradition, the bride wore her mother’s diamond tennis bracelet as “something old.” Molly’s wedding dress was “something new,” a garter borrowed from a friend who was unable to attend the wedding was “something borrowed” and her sandals were “something blue.” For added good fortune, Molly tucked a sixpence that had been carried by her mother and sister-in-laws at their weddings into her shoe.
Tonya Peterson, friend of the bride, served as maid of honor. She wore a short sleeveless dress in sky blue with an overlaid modified cowl neckline. Tonya carried a bouquet of ivory and yellow roses with dark greenery similar to the bride’s.
The groom wore a khaki linen suit with a yellow rose boutonniere adorning his lapel.
The groom’s brother, Todd Gonzales, dressed in khaki pants and a white shirt, served as best man.
Chad and Jake Beach, brothers of the bride, served as ushers.
For her daughter’s wedding day, the mother of the bride selected a knee-length steel blue silk dress with an asymmetrical closing. The bodice featured a V-neck accentuated with three layers of soft ruffles that flowed into a ruched cumberbund-style waist. The multi-layered skirt with front cascade and organza overlay added to the overall soft look of the dress.
The mother of the groom wore a two-piece ensemble with a long flowing skirt. The short-sleeved cobalt blue top with round neckline was defined at the waist with a belt of silver medallions. The printed skirt featured a palette of blues interspersed with a bright yellow that matched the color of the bride’s roses.
Following the ceremony, the couple enjoyed a reception cruise aboard the La Barcaza. No decorations were needed to embellish the gorgeous scenery offered by the Caribbean and its beaches.
The bride’s cake was a three-tiered confection decorated with ivory frosting and layered with banana filling. Yellow roses, daisies and greenery accentuated each tier.
Guests travelled from Georgia, Illinois, Ohio, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.
On the evening prior to the wedding, a friend hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Majestic Elegance Resort in Punta Cana.
The couple will reside in Broussard.
