A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Crowley for Bernice L. “B. L.” Suire, 82, who died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at 2:58 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.

Mr. “B. L.” was a native of Lyons Point and lifelong resident of Crowley, owned and operated Suire’s Front End Alignment in Crowley since 1965, a former member of the Advisory Board of Louisiana Technical College and a member of Acadia Parish Civil Defense. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict having served his country in the US Army.

Fr. Jared Suire, Associate Pastor of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, will officiate for the services and will be assisted by Deacon Timothy Istre. The family requests visiting hours Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery will military honors provided by the US Army.

Mr. Suire is survived by his wife of 62 years, Geraldine O’Pry Suire of Crowley; four daughters, Michelene S. Moody and her husband Neil of Bridge City, TX, Brenda S. Devillier and her husband Steve of Crowley, Jane S. Istre and her husband Deacon Timothy of Orange, TX, Carolyn Suire and her companion Gerard Higginbotham of Lafayette; one son, Glenn Suire and his wife Emelie of Crowley; ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules and Azetile Faulk Suire; four sisters, Evita Lafosse, Letha Meaux, Mathilda Huesers and Ida Dronet; one brother, Wilson Suire.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Bearb, Chance Istre, Jacob Moody, Michael Suire, Corey Adams, Glenn Bland, and Landon Gatte.
