The tournament starts at 5 a.m., with big bass payouts hourly from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hourly prizes are $1,000 for first place, $500 for second, $400 for third, $300 for fourth, $200 for fifth and $100 for sixth.
The overall big bass winner will win $3,000, with $2,000 for second place and $1,000 for third place.
Entry fee is $100 per fisherman and all people in boats must be paid participants. There also is a special youth division. There will be other activities for families at Cypress Bend State Park during the tournament, including games, food vendors and raffles.
Proceeds from the tournament will go toward the NWTF's mission of upland wildlife habitat conservation and preserving our hunting heritage.
