In honor of the upcoming marriage of Andrea Thevis and Tyler Chachere, a bridal shower was held recently at the home of Clay and Corrie Menard of Eunice. Among those present were, from left, Audrey Pousson of Iota (grandmother of the bride-to-be), Norma Thevis of Crowley (grandmother of the bride-to-be), Andrea Thevis (honoree), Madelon Chachere of Eunice (grandmother of the prospective groom) and Allie Caillier of Rayne (grandmother of the prospective groom).
Andrea is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Thevis of Iota.
The groom-elect, Tyler Christopher Chachere is the son of Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Chachere of Eunice.
The couple will exchange wedding vows on the evening of June 16, 2012 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Eunice. Father Theodore “Ted” Broussard will officiate the ceremony.
Hosting the shower were Cathleen Bedel, Christy Chachere, Donna Chachere, Anette Corzine, Carolyn Dyer, Mary Joubert, Joy La Combe, Tina McKissick, Cynthia Oliver, Paula Pousson and Cora Menard.
The guest of honor greeted her guests wearing a creamy white off the shoulder dress with a soft chiffon overlay and satin tie belt. She was presented a corsage of fresh white alstroemeria and plumosa fern.
The mothers and grandmothers wore identical corsages of fresh white alstroemeria and plumosa fern.
The home of the Menards was decorated for the special occasion. On the front door were three white miniature bridal wreaths with long flowing trains of tulle. The centerpiece on the refreshment table was a burnished gold candelabra with dainty white tea light candles. White linen was the covering for the table. A small table near the front entry held the guest registry and plume pen. The covering was of delicate white lace.
Guests were served sherbert punch from the crystal punch service on the buffet table. An array of hors d’oeuvres, ribbon sandwiches and petit fours were served.
Special guests in attendance were Audrey Pousson of Iota, Norma Thevis of Crowley, Madelon Chachere of Eunice and Allie Caillier of Rayne.
