AKRON, INDIANA –– Brittany N. Arceneaux, 13, Akron, passed away with her father on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in an automobile accident in Wabash County, Ind.

She was born March 25, 1999, in Rochester, Ind., to parents, J. LeeRoy Arceneaux and Tina (Montague) Alspaugh.

Brittany was an eighth grader at Tippecanoe Valley Middle School.

She was in the Tippecanoe Valley Middle School band, where she played the flute. She liked to draw and was a very artistic person. She also liked to go swimming in the summertime. She loved all kinds of animals, especially her cat. She loved doing hair and makeup for any of her friends who would come over.

Survivors include her mother, Tina and husband, Tim, Alspaugh, Akron; two brothers, Derek Arceneaux, who is serving in the U.S. Air Force, and Tyler Arceneaux, Akron; maternal grandmother, Judy Montague, Akron; paternal grandmother, RosaBelle Arceneaux, Rayne; stepgrandparents, Guy and Nancy Alspaugh, Warsaw, Ind.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, J. LeeRoy Arceneaux; maternal grandfather, Gene Montague; and paternal grandfather, Herby Arceneaux.

Funeral service was at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron, with Pastor Terry Canfield officiating.

Burial was in Akron Cemetery, Akron.

Memorial contributions may be made to Tippecanoe Valley Middle School Band.
