RAYNE - Sasha Marie Butler and Clayton Paul Shamsie, both of Crowley, have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed on Saturday, December 15, 2012.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Corliss and Larre Butler of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Marie Monceaux and the late Gordy Monceaux, and Aloysia Butler and the late Larre F. Butler, all of Crowley.

Sasha graduated from Notre Dame High School of Acadia Parish in 2003 before obtaining an associate’s degree in computer technology from Louisiana State University at Eunice in 2007. She also obtained certification as a pharmacy technician from Louisiana Technical College in 2010.

The groom-elect is the son of Selina Shamsie and the late Paul Shamsie of Estherwood. He is the grandson of Francis and Howard Nugent Sr., the late James A. Shamsie, and the late Lou Anna Gaspard Monceaux, all of Estherwood.

Clayton is a 2002 graduate of Benton Junior-Senior High and is currently employed by ENI Petroleum as a logistical coordinator.

Sasha and Clayton will exchange vows at The Crossing in Rayne during a 5 p.m. ceremony officiated by Judge John Trahan.

Following their marriage, the couple will reside in Crowley.
