CROWLEY - Plagued with vandalism in the most southern part of Crowley for the past several weeks, Crowley police have made several arrests and are expecting more to come.

“During the last couple of weeks, we have been dealing with a rash of vandalism in Keller Subdivision, ranging from vehicles and homes being egged, windows being broken, tires being slashed and a total disrespect for the deceased with Woodlawn Cemetery being vandalized,” stated Chief of Police K.P. Gibson.

On Tuesday, investigators with the Youth Services Unit of the Crowley Police Department made multiple arrests and they believe that more will be coming. In all, four juveniles, ranging from age 12 to 16, have been arrested for multiple counts of criminal damage to property.

“The charges stem from the vehicles and residences in Keller Subdivision being vandalized. We are still working on the vandalism case from Woodlawn Cemetery,” stated Chief Gibson.

Due to the arrested suspects being juveniles, their names cannot be released by law.

“Our officers will continue to work on the other vandalism cases including Woodlawn Cemetery. Investigators have more people to interview and feel that they have several good leads to resolve these crimes,” stated Chief Gibson.

Maybe it is time to go back to making Mommy and Daddy responsible for the actions of their "mature, responsible kids" who are caught breaking the LAW. The parents are not juveniles so let us report it as "the 15 year old child of Mr. and Mrs. John Q Citizen were apprehended breaking the law by the Crowley police department". I am over sixty years old and I know what would have happened to my butt if I got arrested when I was a teenager. If I shamed my parents' I know what would have happened. Let us start shaming their parents in the news paper. I know some whinning, liberal, holier than thou prominent individual is going to cry out "What did the parents do wrong" and my answer is THEY let those mature and responsible kids out late at night, some with cars and LOUD music. THEY allowed them to have the time and the vehicles therefore THEY ARE responsible and should be held accountable by public shame as well as monetarial. Sorry your JUDGESHIPS but that is the way it should be.
