Rayne - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Sunday, November 4, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. for Carita DeRouen Guidry, 79 who died Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Lake Charles, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are her husband, Joseph "Joe" Guidry, Sr. of Rayne, two sons, Joseph "Joe" Guidry, Sr. and wife Annette of Rayne, Gus Guidry of Rayne, three grandchildren, Joey Guidry, Noelani Guidry, Amanda Comier Carrier, three great grandchildren, Reese Carrier, Kaden Carrier, Liam Guidry, two sisters, Mary Jane Guidry and husband Bertrand, Grace Guidry and husband Jack, one brother, Howard DeRouen, Jr. and wife Alma .

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Gilda Guidry, father, Howard Joseph DeRouen, mother, Bertha M. Derouen LeJeune and step father, Ulysee LeJeune, one sister, Lou Venable and husband Joe Venable.

She was born Friday, September 15, 1933 in Rayne, LA, Daughter of the late Howard Joseph DeRouen, Sr. and the late Bertha Mouton.

She was a member of American Legion Auxially.

She worked as a Register Nurse for Dr. John J. Guidry, Rayne Branch Hospital, Cameron Memorial Hospital and Rayne Guest Home.

A rosary will be recited Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home.

Friends will be at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne, LA. received Saturday, November 3, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m..
