Rayne - Funeral services will be held at Gossen Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, February 7, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. for Cecile Stanford Johnson, 69 who died Friday, February 4, 2011 in American Legion Hospital in Crowley, LA.

Interment will be in the St. Joseph Cemetery #2, Rayne, LA.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas "Tom" Johnson of Rayne, and three daughters, Consuelo "Connie" Rodriguez LaVergne and husband Owen of Hathway, Grace Rodriguez of Napa , CA, Paula Rodriguez Mayhall and husband Daniel of Church Point, two sons, Christopher Rodriguez and wife Janet of Opelousas, Gregory Rodriguez of Church Point, Ten Grandchildren, Eleven Great Grandchildren, one sister, Barbara Nell Jarreau and husband Jimmy of New Roads, seven brothers, John Errol Stanford and wife Nancy of Murfreesboro, TN, Herman Stanford and wife Penny of Sunset, Leo Paul Stanford of Lake Charles, Dale Stanford of Lafayette, Michael Stanford and wife Charmine of Prairie Rhonde, Alton Stanford and wife Barbara of Church Point, Owen Stanford and wife Gwen of Church Point, step children, Scott Johnson of Rayne, Connie Johnson of Ville Platte, Julie Johnson Gossen and husband Keith of Rayne, Shallie Johnson of Petaluma, CA, and three step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by first husband, Augustine L. Rodriguez, parents, Alton Joseph Stanford and Evangeline Thibodeaux Stanford, three sisters, Martha Jane Manuel, Philomena Matte and Kathleen McBride, two brothers, Norman and Clayton Stanford..

She was born Friday, June 27, 1941 in Sunset, LA, Daughter of the late Alton Joseph Stanford and the late Evangeline Thibodeaux Stanford.

A rosary will be recited Sunday, February 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Gossen Funeral Home in Rayne, LA
