BATON ROUGE – Plans for a nationally-televised game between Class 3A football powers, Redemptorist and Patterson, have become reality.

The game is set for Sept. 10 at Nicholls State’s John L. Guidry Stadium in Thibodeaux and will be broadcast by one of the ESPN networks.

Arrangements for the game were contingent on Patterson and Redemptorist getting out of their respective Week 2 games. Their previous opponents, Westgate-New Iberia and St. James, have agreed to play each other Sept. 10.

The matchup is attractive to national audiences because the two teams have three blue-chip prospects who are all committed to LSU. Redemptorist is led by running back Jeremy Hill and offensive lineman La’el Collins while running back Kenny Hilliard leads Patterson.
