US Attorney Stephanie A. Finley said Darien L. Reliford of Shreveport was sentenced on Friday, November 9, 2012, to 327 months for conspiracy to possess cocaine with intent to distribute. His son, Darien Jones, was sentenced to 72 months for the same offense.
They were among 13 defendants indicted last December.
Federal investigation revealed that Reliford obtained large quantities of cocaine in Dallas for distribution in Shreveport.
Several kilograms of cocaine worth approximately $100,000, firearms, and approximately $120,000 in cash were seized.
Others sentenced for cocaine conspiracy are: Kurt Abrone: 36 months; Ochelata Reliford: 60 months; Derrick Waffer: 60 months; Timothy Ellis:78 months: Randy Randall: 180 months, Lagashia Woodard:30 months; Cecil Cole: 120 months; Tamika Barrett: 60 months; Reginald Lee: 60 months; Terry Pouncy: 72 months; and Robin Ray James: 240 months; all Shreveport residents.
