Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at a 2:00 PM Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne for Conrad J. Breaux, 55, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at Regional Medical Center of Acadiana surrounded by his family.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

Reverend William P. Ruskoski, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be the Celebrant of the funeral Mass and will conduct the funeral services. Lectors will be Tricia Hawkins and John Breaux. Giftbearers will be his children, Adrienne, Natalie, Benjamin and Lydia Breaux. The St. Joseph Catholic Church Choir will sing selections chosen by the family.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 32 years, Katherine Eastwood Breaux; four children, Adrienne N. Breaux, Natalie A. Breaux, Benjamin J. Breaux and Lydia K. Breaux; future son-in-law, Michael Trahan, Jr. all of Lafayette, LA; three brothers, Patin Breaux and his wife, Mary of Lafayette, Richard Breaux and his wife, Liz of Sunset and André Breaux and his wife, Leslie of Lafayette; three Godchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; many dear friends and loved ones; and two special companions, Lucy and Olivia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Berchman J. and Iris Patin Breaux.

A native and resident of Lafayette, Louisiana for over 40 years, Mr. Breaux was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle and friend to all who knew him. He was a graduate of Lafayette High School and went on to attend and graduate from University of Southwestern Louisiana's College of Education. Mr. Breaux worked for many years as a financial advisor for Edward Jones. He was a member of Rotary Club of Lafayette, Director of St. Joseph Carpenter's Choir for 31 years and was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church Community in Rayne. He enjoyed cooking, sports, traveling, boating and music, but his passion in life was caring for and spending time with his family, friends and loved ones. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Pallbearers will be Patin Breaux, Richard Breaux, Andre' Breaux, Michael Trahan, Jr., Robert Kenney, M.D., Jonathan Hooper, Zachary Breaux, Matthew Breaux and Lt. Col. James Eastwood (USAF, Ret).

A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM in Martin & Castille's DOWNTOWN Location.

The family requests that visitation be observed on Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and will continue on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
