Cynthia Chaisson and Linton Cormier exchanged marriage vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony on Friday, July 15, in the chapel of the Rayne Guest Home, with Rev. Jay Cormier officiating.

A reception followed in the Guest Home’s dining room.

Ms. Chaisson’s sister, Barbara Mire, served as her maid of honor, and her brother-in-law, Vernanas Mire, served as best man.

Cormier, 79, is the father of nine children: David, Brenda, Lisa, Sandra, Linton, Jr., Dana, Kelly and two deceased sons, Jerry and Ricky.He has 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Ms. Chaisson, 55, is the mother of one deceased son.
