IOTA - Cassandra Lynn Crovetto of Chalmette and Marcus Wayne Guidry of Duson have announced their engagement and commitment to be wed Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the Point-aux-Loups Springs Ballroom in Iota.

Rev. Jimmy Broussard will officiate the 6 p.m. nuptial ceremony.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Graig and Gayle Crovetto of Chalmette. She is the granddaughter of Irene Watzke and the late Edwin Watzke of New Orleans, and the late Albert and Vera Crovetto of St. Bernard.

Cassandra graduated from Chalmette High School before attending the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Cassandra is currently employed at Lafayette General Medical Center.

The prospective groom is the son of Wayne and Phyllis Guidry of Evangeline and Wayne and Susie Guillot of Crowley. He is the grandson of Ruby Guidry and the late Larry Guidry of Evangeline, and the late Charles and Barbara Spaetgens of Roberts Cove.

Marcus is a graduate of Iota High School and is presently employed with Professional Petroleum International.

Following the wedding, the couple will reside in Duson.
