The incident began when a juvenile female was walking to her residence and claimed that she was being followed by a black color truck. Later that same evening, the juvenile was walking home when the same vehicle was following her again. This time the occupant of the vehicle made contact with the juvenile.
According to police records, the suspect told the juvenile to get in the vehicle and eventually got out of the vehicle to force the juvenile into the vehicle. The juvenile fled and located an officer who was patrolling the area.
The investigation by the officer led to the suspect’s arrest, as he was located in the immediate area. The suspect was identified as Bryan Robinson, 46, of Crowley. Robinson has been charged with Attempted Kidnapping, Possession of Marijuana and Driving Under Suspension. Robinson has been booked into the Acadia Parish Jail
“Parents need to talk with their children as these types of incidents happen in too many communities across the country. We are not exempt because we are a small community,” stated Chief K.P. Gibson.
