Crowley man charged with prohibited sexual conduct

Following an investigation into a complaint that was filed with the Acadia Parish Sheriff’s Office on June 6, 2012 a Crowley man has been charged with prohibited sexual conduct.

According to Acadia Parish Sheriff Wayne Melancon, 48 year old Bryant Keith Ortego of W. Pine Street in Crowley turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday afternoon after Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for prohibited sexual conduct via telecommunications between an educator and student.

Ortego was booked into the parish jail with bond set at $25,000 by District Judge John Trahan.
