Funeral services were held at St. Leo IV Catholic Church, Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. for Daniel James Bourque, 27, who died Sunday, December 26, 2010.

Interment was in the St. Leo Cemetery.

Surviving are a son, Micheal Eli Bourque of Crowley; mother, Wendy Venable; stepfather, Leonel Fusilier; brothers, Jason Bourque and girlfriend, Tabby Gary, of Duson, Joey Bourque and wife, Angela, of Lafayette and David Bourque of Crowley; sisters, Jerri Averette and husband, Clovis, of Crowley and Donielle Scheznayder and boyfriend, Mathew Moore, of Lafayette; grandparents, Roland and Bulla Boudoin of Lafayette; nieces and nephews, Anna and Alexander Bourque of Lafayette C.J. and Dayla Averette of Crowley and Mayah and Kiyah of Lafayette.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dottie Bell and Geston Venable; and his great-grandmother, Marynet Fusilier.

Friends were received 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, and 8:00 a.m. until servcies Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at Gossen Funeral Home, Inc., Rayne.
