CROWLEY - Is your community hosting a Christmas pageant, play or parade; or a holiday celebration of any kind?

The Acadia Parish Tourist Commission (APTC) is now working on a brochure for the Fifth Annual Cajun Prairie Christmas Trail.

Scheduled events will occur from Nov. 1, 2010, through Dec. 31, 2010. Information should be submitted to the commission before September 3 either by e-mail, aptc@bellsouth.net, fax, 337-783-2142, or in person. Their office is located at Exit 82, North Hwy. 1111 in Crowley.

Any Acadia Parish community hosting “special Christmas events” that the general public can attend can be promoted in the brochure, but no “business as usual” listings will be accepted.

Gwen Hanks, executive director for the APTC is in charge of the brochure. The early deadline is due to the brochure needing to be ready for printing by October 4.

Space is limited on the brochure; the APTC urges communities to not delay in their submissions.

So get your “Ho Ho Hos,” reindeers, snowmen and Christmas alligators ready and send the information to the APTC now.
