Duson—A gathering of friends and family celebrating the life of Dean M. White, 34, will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the home of his parents, 9017 Cameron Street, Duson.

Dean passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 9:30 A.M. in Rayne.

A native of Racine, WI, Dean had lived in the Lafayette area for several years. He worked as a construction supervisor, and he was in the process of helping his sister build her business when he passed away.

Survivors include his children, Mason and Madison; parents, Bonnie Rose Decker and James “Cowboy” Decker (an employee of Frank’s Casing); sister, Danielle Youngs and husband, Aaron; brothers, David White and Greg Decker; grandfather, Ken White; aunt, Gloras White; uncles, Roger Rose, Harold Rose, and Clare Rose; aunts, Twila Posch and husband, James, and Evelyn Capek and husband, Stan. Dean is also survived by his loving companion, Melissa Miller, whose son, Christopher, lost his life as a result of the same accident which claimed Dean’s life.
