Retired trooper, dragway owner

LAFAYETTE -- Services will be Wednesday for retired state trooper and former raceway owner Ronnie West. He died Dec. 18 at age 66.

West was a U.S. Navy veteran and owner of West Truck Sales in Broussard. He was former owner of State Capitol Dragway in Baton Rouge.

Survivors include his wife Sarah, two sons and a daughter.

Fountain Memorial is in charge of arrangements.

Retired labor official

BATON ROUGE -- Services will be Tuesday for former La. Dept. of Labor official Louis Lee, Sr. He died Dec. 17 at age 88.

A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Lee worked 31 years for the Dept. of Labor and retired as assistant director of employment security.

Survivors include a daughter and a son.

Greenoaks is in charge of arrangements.
