Attorney, city official

ALEXANDRIA -- Services for former Commissioner of Finance & Utilities Arnold Jack Rosenthal were Dec. 23. He died Dec. 22 at age 87.

Rosenthal, a graduate of Tulane Law School, was former owner of the Joy Theater and a racehorse owner.

Arrangements are by John Kramer & Son.

Former missionary

BATON ROUGE -- Services for former missionary and Southern Baptist minister Dr. Rodrick Conerly will be Monday. He died Dec. 23.

Conerly and his familywere missionaries to Peru for the Southern Baptist Convention and he pastored numerous SBC churches in Louisiana and Mississippi. He was also executive director of the Baptist Association of Greater Baton Rouge.

Survivors include hiw wife Caroline, a son and a daughter.

Ourso, Gonazales is in charge of arrangements.

Former ASU qb

NORCO -- Services for legendary Destrehan High athlete Barry Bleakley, Sr. will be Wednesday. He died Christmas Day at age 78,

He was retired from Kaiser/C.I.I. After leading DHS to a state championship, he played quarterback at the University of Arizona.

Survivors include his wife Marguerite and six children.

H.C. Alexander is in charge of arrangements
