BATON ROUGE -- Services for former television anchorman and news reporter Bob Johnson will be announced by Rabenhorst. He died Feb. 30 at age 77.

Johnson, covering the story for WBRZ-TV, was severely beaten and kicked covering a racial protest in 1972 and never walked or spoke again.

Two East Baton Rouge deputies and two protestors were killed in the violence at the scene and a third protestor died later from injuries.

Johnson was considered a pioneer of television news in Louisiana.
