ALEXANDRIA -- Services are pending for former Chamber of Commerce executive and former Ruston Mayor Elton C. Pody. He died Sunday at age 72l
Pody moved to Alexandria in 1991 after serving eight years as mayor of Ruston.
He had been president of the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce for the past 20 years.
In December, he announced he would retire at the end of 2011.
