Former Air Force judge

SHREVEPORT Services for former Chief of Military Justice Col. Stephen Bloss will be Thursday. He died April 29 at age 75.

His Air Force assignments included Assistant Staff Judge Advocate, Chief of Military Justice, and Chief of Foreign Criminal Jurisdiction, Chief of Military Justice and Chief of Civil Law. He also served as Staff Judge and he was selected to be the Air Force's first Chief Circuit Defense Counsel in the test program which later led to the establishment worldwide of the Area Defense Counsel Program.

He also served as Chief Circuit Military Judge of the Second Circuit, and Chief of Defense Services Division, Office of the Judge Advocate General,Headquarters of the United States Air Force. He completed his Air Force service as Chief Circuit Military Judge at Lowry, AFB, Colo.

Survivors include his wife Anna and two daughters.
