Farm equipment dealer

WEST MONROE – Services for farm equipment dealer Sam Adams will be Friday. He died Aug. 19 at age 76.

He was with Scott Truck and Tractor in Monroe for more than 40 years, purchasing the company four years ago. HE was past president of the Deep South Equipment Dealers Assn..

Survivors include his wife Nell, a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Mulhearn.

Long-time mayor

GUEYDAN – Services will be Saturday for former mayor Manson Saltzman. He died Aug. 22 at age 77.

He was Gueydan mayor for a total of 17 years and an alderman a his death. He was a Vermilion Parish police juror for more than 12 years.

Survivors include his wife Anna, a son and two daughters.

Arrangements are by Vincent.

Former restaurant owner

NEW ORLEANS – Services will be Thursday for iconic restaurant owner Milton Wise. He died Augt. 21 at age 91.

He was a 5th Air Force U.S. Army Air Corps navigator and bombardier veteran of World War II. He was owner and general manager of Wise Cafeteria in the city until it closed in 1989.

Survivors include his wife Hazel and 14 children.
