LAFAYETTE – Services for car dealer Adrian Vega, Jr. will be Friday. He died Oct. 29 at age 63.

He owned Acadiana Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram and Acadiana Mazda.

Survivors include his wife Mary, four sons and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Martin & Castille.

Former asst. fire chief, deputy marshal

ALEXANDRIA – Services for retired assistant fire chief and long-time deputy city marshal Gene Wilmore will be Friday. He died Oct. 29 at age 84.

He was an Alexandria fireman 20 years, retiring as an assistant chief and worked int he Alexandria City Marshal’s Office more than 30 years.

Survivors include a son and three daughters.

Arrangements are by Forest Lawn-Pineville.

Pioneering AF officer

BOSSIER CITY – Services for pioneering retired Air Force officer Lt. Col. Marian Lucille Piper will be Friday. She died Oct. 29 at age 86.

During her 20-year Air Force career, she became one of only 23 women to reach her rank at that time. She held a number of medals and retired as deputy chief of staff for operations at Barksdale AFB. She was a former participant in the cross-country aviation Powder Puff Derby.

Survivors include two sisters.

Arrangements are by Rose-Neath.

Former AME official

NEW ORLEANS – Services for retired African Methodist Episcopal official Rev. Columbs Muse will be Thursday. He died Oct. 23.

He was retired presiding elder of the Louisiana Conference of the Eighth District of the AME Church.

Survivors include his wire Lurena and two sons.

Arrangements are by MJR Friendly Service, Denham Springs.
