Attorney, lobbyist

BATON ROUGE – Services for long-time attorney Herschel Adcock, Sr. will be Tuesday. He died Jan. 18 at age 75.

Working with the Louisiana State Law Institute, he authored the Louisiana Consumer Credit Law, was general counsel for he Louisiana Automobile Dealers Assn. for a quarter century and was former general counsel of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. He was a lobbyist instrumental in passage of the state’s mandatory seat belt law.

Survivors include his wife Frances, two sons and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Resthaven.

Long-time School Board member

VACHERIE – Services for long-time School Board member John Schexnayder will be Tuesday. He died Jan. 16 at age 86.

He was former president of the St. James Parish School Board, on which he served 18 years. He was a founding member of the River Area Improvement League.

Survivors include his wife Dolores and seven children.

Arrangements are by Baloney.

Silver Star holder, law professor

NEW ORLEANS – Services for decorated veteran and retired Tulane law professor Billups Percy will be Friday. He died Jan. 18 at age 91.

He was a US Navy veteran of World War II and held the Silver Star and Bronze Star for PT boat valor in the Solomon Islands campaign. He later was in the submarine service in the South China and Yellow Seas. He was a constitutional law professor on the Tulane faculty for more than 30 years.

Survivors include four children.

Arrangements are by Lake Lawn.

Former utility exec

NEW ORLEANS – Services for retired utility executive Robert Dunn will be Tuesday. He died Jan. 18 at age 84.

He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and retired vice president of N.O.P.S.I./L.P.&L. (now Entergy).

Survivors include his wife Joyce, a son and a daughter.

Arrangements are by Lake Lawn.
