METAIRIE -- Arrangements are pending for former state Sen. Ken Hollis. He died Friday at age 68.
As a Republican senator, he worked to keep the Saints in New Orleans and to bring state-sponsored property insurance to Louisiana.
He was in the Senate 26 years, leaving when term limits forced him out.
He was a native of Alexandria. Survivors include his wife Diane, three sons and three stepdaughters.
