Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, in the Duhon Funeral Home Chapel in Rayne for Mr. Derise Gautreaux, 80, who passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013, at his home in Rayne. 

Fr. Kendal Faulk, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rayne, officiated for the services.

The family requested visiting hours be held Monday, January 21, 2013, from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation continued on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services. 

Interment was in the St. Joseph #2 Mausoleum in Rayne. 

A Rosary was recited Monday, January 21, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel in Rayne.

Mr. Derise, a resident of Rayne, was the son of the late Eugene Gautreaux and the former Amelia Thibodeaux.  He was the owner and operator of Gautreaux’s Donut Kitchen in Rayne for several years.  

Mr. Derise is survived by his wife of fifty-eight years, Earline Meche Gautreaux of Rayne; four sons, Eugene Gautreaux of Rayne, Wayne and wife, Mary, Gautreaux of Rayne, Bryan and wife, Pam, Gautreaux of Rayne and Mike and wife, Cherie, Gautreaux of Rayne; two daughters, Shirley and husband, Lee Meyer, of Crowley and Sue and husband, Todd Trahan, of Cecilia; one sister, Alice Simon of New Iberia; fifteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
