Church Point--Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in the Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church in Branch for Donna Vilate Saenz, 53, who passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Lafayette General Medical Center in Lafayette.
Reverend Kevin Colson, pastor of Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church. will be officiating for the services.
The family requested visiting hours to be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013, at Duhon Funeral Home of Church Point from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until the time of the services.
Interment will be in the Elizabeth Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery in Branch.
Ms. Saenz a resident of Church Point, was the daughter of the late William Everett Dottl and the former Betty Jean Couch.
She is survived by one daughter, Trilana Joy Taylor and husband Keith; one son, Robert William Taylor both of Church Point her fiancé, Jon Zerick of Samson, AL; two sisters, Linda Wolfe of Rosenberg, TX and Tina Berhman of Riverside, CA; two brothers, Terry Lacey of Moreno Valley, CA and Burt Lacey of Lafayette, LA; three grandchildren, Harley Faith Taylor, Robert Wilson Taylor and Summer René Poirier.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Saenz; and one brother, Perry Wayne Lacey.
Pallbearers will be Robert William Taylor, Robert Lee Taylor, Keith Joseph Poirier, Jon Zerick, Jay Kelly and Edward Romero. Honorary pallbearer will be Robert Wilson Taylor.
