The ceremony was held at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Mire. Rev. Msgr. Russell Harrington officiated the mass.
The ceremony featured musical selections by Blaise Venable. The scripture readings were performed by Greg Schmid, godfather of the bride, Steve Hariu, relative of the groom and Larry Gray, godfather of the groom. The offertory gifts were presented by the groom’s cousins, Madison, Leann and Boyd Gray.
Jade was escorted down the aisle by her father, Clifford Istre.
Keeping with tradition, she had green and white socks as something old; white boots as something new; the mother of the groom’s pearl necklace as something borrowed; and her garter was something blue.
Serving as matron of honor was the bride’s best friend, Missy Rankin. The bride’s sisters Crystal Istre and Emmie Stutes and her friend Hanna Legnion served as bridesmaids.
Justin Hoffpauir, the groom’s best friend served as his best man. His brother, Myrth Foreman, friend, Corey Stutes, and the bride’s brother Thad Istre, served as groomsmen.
Rounding out the wedding party was the groom’s niece, Ava Foreman, who served as flower girl, and the bride’s nephew, Tucker Stutes, who served as ring bearer.
Following the wedding, there was a reception at Union Hall in Rayne.
The bride’s cake was a four-tiered Bavarian cake topped with the newlyweds’ initials.
The groom’s cake was a Dutch chocolate cake baked in the shape of a fox head symbolizing fox racing.
The couple will reside in Rayne after their wedding trip to San Antonio, Texas.
A rehearsal dinner was held August 5 at 7 p.m. at Fezzo’s in Scott. The groom’s parents, Joey and Toni Foreman, were the hosts for the event.
The bride is the daughter of Clifford and Dianna Istre of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Ophed Shube and Nola Abshire of Crowley and Clifton and the late Marie Istre of Crowley.
She graduated from Notre Dame High School and is currently employed with Thibodeaux Animal Hospital in Abbeville.
The groom is the son of Joey and Toni Foreman of Rayne. He is the grandson of Tyson and Fay Foreman of Ryane and the late Henry and Beulah Daigle of Rayne.
He is also a graduate of Notre Dame High School and is set to graduate in December 2010 from the Acadiana Technical College. He is employed with TanMar Communications in Scott.
