The bride is the daughter of Michael and Sheila Dronet of Crowley. She is the granddaughter of Amy Richard and the late Lucien Richard of Crowley, and J.B. Dronet and the late Rita Dronet of Crowley. She is a graduate of Crowley High School and Louisiana State University.
The groom is the son of Kenneth and Barbara Melancon of Lafayette. He is the grandson of Elvin Sr. and Buna Michaud of Abbeville, and the late Mark Melancon and the late Malvina Melancon Castex and Mr. Warren Castex, all of Lafayette. Todd is a graduate of St. Thomas More High School and of University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a white, strapless, corseted, organza gown with beaded metallic lace on bodice, skirt and chapel train, enhanced with pearls and sequins. She carried a bouquet of white roses and calla lilies.
Shena LaFleur, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids included Emily Wilson, Kyla Trahan, Kristie Siitan, Pallavi Simon and Ashima Srivastava. Trinity Gaspard, godchild of the groom, served as flower girl.
Mark Stephens, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen included Lais Ryder, John Morvant, Elliot Broussard, Marcus Hebert, Brock Michaud and Jack Caho. Derek LaFleur, Scott Broussard and Bryan Broussard served as ushers. Cole Simon served as ring bearer.
Immediately following the wedding, a reception was held at Le Grand Hall in the Grand Opera House of the South. After returning from a honeymoon trip to Hawaii, the couple will reside in Crowley.
